Yun Liang

Yun received her PhD from the University of Waikato in June 2018. Her thesis was on “Quality of Life – Impacts from the Family Planning Policy in China”, with John Gibson as chief supervisor.

 

She also has a Master of Management Studies, with first Class Honours  from the University of Waikato management school. She also has a MSc in Statistics from Victoria University of Wellington, a BSc in Mathematics from Shanghai Normal University China, and a graduate diploma in Economics from VUW.

 

Yun graduated in 2004 and started working at Motu in February 2005. In 2011 she was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence from the University of Waikato. Above all, she is interested in analysing data and using the results to interpret different aspects of our daily life.
